spaying and neutering
The Corozal Animal Program (CAP) was founded in 2017 in the Corozal District to spay and neuter dogs and cats belonging to Belizean-born families.
To meet the needs of the ever-growing population of street dogs and cats, CAP also provides spaying and neutering as well as immunization services to these animals.
MakING a Donation
Cats and dogs are breeding uncontrollably at an alarming rate. Over 11,000 puppies or kittens can be produced by a pair of dogs or cats in just five years. In an effort to control the local stray population, the town council sometimes administers strychnine poisoning or starvation to them. By supporting us with your donations, you can help control the number of dogs and cats through spaying and neutering and education.

TAKE PART IN OUR MISSION
YOU CAN HELP
HEALTHY PETS ARE HAPPY PETS
We are a community-based organization made up of dedicated, animal-loving volunteers and financed entirely by our fundraising efforts, membership dues, and private donations.
As a CAP member, you are directly helping us to contain the increasing number of unwanted stray animals and keep our pet population healthy.
Helping us keep pets healthy and happy is appreciated – no matter how small.
ways to donate
PayPal, credit cards, debit cards, or mail-in checks are all accepted as tax-deductible donations through our US-based partner charity. Alternatively, cash donations can be dropped off at Mama’s Lowe’s food store on 4th Avenue, Corozal Town, or wired directly to Atlantic Bank (Belize).
